Dr. Seema M is a trained Virologist with a PhD in Microbiology from University of Madras.She has gained expertise in the field of infectious diseases research from Johns Hopkins University, USA. During her 22 years of research and teaching career in prestigious universities in India and abroad she has over 17 publications in peer reviewed high impact international journals. Her co-authored publication in J of Virology has over 325 citations till date. In addition to her research experience she has been instrumental in setting up of R&D facilities in various biotech companies in India and training the research personnel. As a Principal Investigator, she has recently completed a DST-SERB sponsored extramural project on molecular epidemiology of tuberculosis in Punjab Dr. Seema is an avid reader with a penchant to travel and loves swimming and playing Veena.
